Ernest Conrad Minke

Ernest "Ernie" Conrad Minke, 85, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Michelle Anne (Varin) Minke, to whom he was married on October 18, 1980.Born on December 30, 1931 in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Conrad Ernest Minke and the late Eva (Massart) Minke.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Ernie worked for many years as a Manufacturing Supervisor for Texas Instruments in Attleboro, before retiring in 1991.He enjoyed golf and spending winters at his home in Fort Lonesome, FL. Ernie had a special place in his heart for animals of every kind, especially for his late dog, "Ralph". In addition to his wife, Michelle, he leaves his loving children: Kathryn Shaw of Pocasset, MA, and Chuckie Minke and his companion, Carol Joy, of Center Conway, NH. Ernie was the grandfather of three grandchildren, and great-grandfather of one great-grandson. He was predeceased by two sisters and one brother, and leaves his niece and two nephews. Burial services will be privately held at a later date in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
