Ernest "Ernie" H. Guimond

Ernest H. Guimond, 72, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 10, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Sheila Jean (Parham) Guimond.
Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 23, 1951, he was the son of the late Harvey Guimond and the late Theresa (Fournier) Guimond.
Raised in North Attleboro, Ernie graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1969.
Always a dedicated employee, he was a mechanic for Bliss Dairy, a cross-country truck driver for Ronnie McGrath, and a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Bella Construction in Wrentham.
In 1999 he was initiated in Local 4 - IUOE as a heavy equipment operator. He knew how to operate many types of equipment but most enjoyed the excavator. He was proud of his safety record and the work that he did at several colleges and in downtown Boston.
He enjoyed candlepin bowling, country music, and spending time with his family and little dog Frankie. He also enjoyed spending time with his friend, Earl, every Friday at Babe's Place Restaurant.
Most of all, Ernie was a kind, generous and forgiving man. He loved his family unconditionally, never hesitating to help them in their time of need.Sheila and Ernie were married on March, 29, 1996. Along with his wife, he leaves his children: Ernest Michael Guimond, and his wife Monika, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Brian Harvey Guimond, and his wife Cassandra, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Justin William Guimond, and his partner Sheri Guilmette Membreno, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; Lynn Anne Brundage, and her husband Mark, of Uxbridge, Massachusetts; Sumner Glen Merrill, Jr., and his wife Lynn Merrill, of Otisfield, Maine; and Paul D. Merrill, and his partner Melinda Durling, of Derry, New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren; his sister-in-law Lynda Guimond; his brothers: Paul Guimond, and his wife Kathryn, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, and his brother David Guimond, and his wife Marjorie, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; his sister: Gloria Guimond, of St. Albans, Maine; and his beloved aunts and cousins of the Fournier family. Also his nieces, nephews and dear neighbors and friends.
