Ernest "Mickey" A. Goyette

June 27, 1935 — October 24, 2020

Ernest "Mickey" A. Goyette, 85, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lydia (Lawton) Goyette.
Born on June 27, 1935 in West Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Ovila Goyette and the late Emma (Arns) Goyette.
Mickey was a wholesale meat cutter in Boston for more than fifty years. He was employed by City Packing, Bay State Meat, and Fulton Packing.  He retired when the last wholesale house stopped cutting hanging beef.
In addition to his wife, Mickey leaves behind his four loving children and their spouses: Shelly and Michael Ross of North Attleboro; Ron and Kerri Goyette of Attleboro; Todd Goyette of North Attleboro; and Scott and Ritu Goyette of North Attleboro.  He also leaves his ten loving and much loved grandchildren: Zarek Goyette of Attleboro; Emma Goyette of Mansfield; Garrett Ross of Inglewood, CA; Olivia Ross of North Attleboro; Colby, Nathan and Ryan Goyette of Attleboro; and Devon, Meena, and Trevor Goyette of North Attleboro. He was the brother of Joe Goyette of Norton; Doris Legg of North Attleboro; Charlie Goyette of Peru, MA; and Betty Camire of Tacoma, WA.  Mickey was predeceased by his siblings: Tommy, Bobby, Billy, David, Jimmy, Dickie, and Marie.
Mickey had many friends and over the years he and Lydia traveled across the county with many of those friends.  He will long be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his loved of horse racing, his visits to the casino, his Scally caps, and his love of beer. Mickey's family takes great comfort in knowing that he and his best friend, Ronnie, are somewhere up there enjoying a beer, cigarette, and a feisty game of cribbage.
Out of respect for Mickey's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
Burial will be private.
