Emilie Rita (Ringuette) LaFontaine, 81, of Oakhurst Street, North Attleboro, peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, November 6, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Gerald A. LaFontaine, to whom she was married on June 13, 1953 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, MA on August 23, 1934, she was the daughter of Amie Ringuette and Victoria (Clevette) Ringuette. Emilie resided in North Attleboro all of her life. She worked as a Stitcher for more than twenty-five years at Dale Medical Products, Inc. in Plainville, MA before retiring in 2004. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro and was always active with the Church and the Church Guild. She delighted in the simple things in life, including a stop at Dunkin Donuts or shopping at Wal-Mart. Emilie volunteered her time at the Martin School in North Attleboro, and always enjoyed making and doing things for others, whether knitting, crocheting afghans, or baking her delicious apple and blueberry pies. She was an ardent Patriots fan. Most important to Emile was her family, including her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the time spent with them. In addition to her dear husband, Gerald, she is survived by her six cherished children: Stephen M LaFontaine and his wife, Robin (Harris) LaFontaine, of North Attleboro, MA; Paul G. LaFontaine and his companion, Roberta Danley, of Edgewater, FL; Richard P. LaFontaine and his wife, Melody (Soderquist) LaFontaine, of Attleboro, MA; Philip G. LaFontaine and his wife, Kelly (Kelliher) LaFontaine, of Cranston, RI; Mark P. LaFontaine of North Attleboro, MA; and Peter J. LaFontaine and his wife, Leigh A. (Everett) LaFontaine, of North Attleboro, MA. She was the sister of Maurice Ringuette of North Attleboro, MA and FL; George Ringuette of Wrentham, MA; Flora (Ringuette) Robinson of North Attleboro, MA; and Leona (Ringuette) Dill of Norton, MA. Emile also leaves her beloved grandchildren: Jessica, Michael, Kayla, Samantha, Amanda, Christa, and Julia; and several special great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her extended family. She was the sister of the late Anita (Ringuette) Krzywonos and Doris (Ringuette) Charron. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. - 900 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room is available during visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Park Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
