Emile Almond LeBlanc, 82, of Attleboro, MA passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on February 5, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Emily M. (Whitmore) LeBlanc to whom he was married on November 4, 1959.
Born in Bradley, Maine on March 9, 1940, he was a son of the late Maurice LeBlanc and the late Arline Hazel (Lounsbury) LeBlanc. He was raised and educated in Maine and had been a Massachusetts resident for more than 60 years.
He was employed as a crane operator for Fortifiber, and its predecessors, for many years prior to his retirement.
A proud American, he served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
As a billiards enthusiast, he was a semiprofessional pool player who once took second place in the Rhode Island State Championship.
He will be remembered for being able to fix just about anything, especially lawnmowers. A lifelong animal lover, Emile also enjoyed saltwater fishing on the Cape Cod canal and rising early on weekend mornings to do the flea market circuit.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Daniel Mark LeBlanc of Shattuck, Oklahoma; Cynthia Marie Carr and her husband, Richard W. Carr, of Corinna, Maine; Michael Louis LeBlanc and his wife, Frances (Diaz) LeBlanc, of Shattuck, Oklahoma and Diane Emily Prout and her husband, Ron Prout, of Attleboro, MA; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister: Sharon Dady of Miramar, Florida and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Timothy David Waltz.
