Elsie Stone Howard

Elsie Stone Howard of Naples, Fla., and formerly of Bristol, Rhode Island and Brookline, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010. She was the loving wife of Ralph M. Howard of 26 years. Born on April 15, 1926 in Providence, Elsie L. Stone was the daughter of the late Clarence Jackson Stone and the late Elsie K. Regius. Elsie had a successful career working for 36 1/2 years at Boston University as an educational placement counselor to students and alumni. She was a graduate of Simmons College, with a Bachelor of Science degree, Class of 1948. Elsie had a passion and the opportunity to travel the world throughout her many years with her husband, close friends and family. Elsie is survived by her husband, Ralph M. Howard of Naples, Fla.; a brother, G. Gordon Stone of Bristol, R.I.; two nephews, Jeffrey Gordon Stone and Douglas Dwight Stone; a niece, Susan L. McCabe; and a great-nephew, Alexander Gordon Stone. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kenneth Boyle, Pastor of Candleberry Chapel, Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow. At the conclusion of services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at Lucianos Restaurant, Route One, Wrentham.
