Elsie Evelyn Dion

Elsie Evelyn (Osborne) Dion, 92, of West Bulfinch Street, North Attleboro, died on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late William Henry Dion, Sr. who died on October 25, 1984. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 27, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Alice F. (Moclair) Osborne. She resided in Boston prior to moving to Randolph where she continued her education and was a 1939 graduate of Stetson High School in Randolph. She moved to North Attleboro from Randolph many years ago. Mrs. Dion was employed as a bench worker for the former C. Ray Randall Company in North Attleboro for 22 years followed by 15 years as a machine operator at the former Univis Frame Company in North Attleboro prior to her retirement in 1992. She leaves two daughters: Evelyn M. Higgins of North Attleboro and Susan A. Dion and her husband, Leszek Wesolowski, of Los Angeles, California; three grandchildren: Marion A. Kettell of Attleboro; Ryan M. McLean of North Attleboro and Susan Kismet Hibbert of Los Angeles, California; a sister: Joan B. Collins of Brockton and several extended family members and friends. Mrs. Dion was the mother of the late William Henry Dion, Jr. and the late Janet L. McLean and was the sister of the late Alice F. Osborne, Ernest J. Osborne, George F. Osborne, Gertrude F. O'Donnell and Doris Clark. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 11:00 - 12:00 Noon at the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational "Oldtown" Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:15 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Children's room is available during the visitation and the funeral service.
