Ellen Mae (Roberts) Correia, 85, Kelley Boulevard, North Attleboro, died on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Thomas Correia who died on June 8, 1988. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on August 7, 1926, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Dorothy (Kenney) Roberts. She was raised and educated in North Attleboro where she was a 1945 graduate of North Attleboro High School. Mrs. Correia remained a lifelong resident of North Attleboro until moving to Christopher Heights in Attleboro where she resided from December 2010 until September 2011 when she moved to Elmhurst Extended Care in Providence. Mrs. Correia was a devoted and dedicated homemaker to her family. She will be lovingly remembered as a talented seamstress who graciously taught those skills to her cherished daughter, Lynne. The consummate hostess, she treasured the times spent entertaining family and friends. She leaves two children: Dr. A. Thomas Correia and his wife, Maryann (Breckel), Correia of Bristol, RI and Lynne M. Correia of New York, New York; two grandchildren: Christine Norberg and her husband, James, of Smithfield, RI and Major Stephen T. Guertin, U.S. Army and his wife, Amy (Kosloski), of Bristol, RI; two great grandchildren: Alexandria and James L. Norberg both of Smithfield, RI; her siblings: William Roberts and his wife, Ruth, of North Attleboro; Barbara Hassell, wife of the late Robert, of Phoenix, AZ; Sandra Hammond and her husband, Richard, of Plainville; Dorothy Nowell and her husband, Burt, of North Attleboro and Ken Roberts and his wife, Vicki, of Gloucester, MA; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 4:00 7:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Kenneth Boyle, Pastor of Candleberry Chapel, South Main Street, Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in Shepardville Cemetery, Plainville. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship, refreshments and remembrance at a location to be announced.
