Elizabeth "Betty" Marie (Morrison) Arseneau, 65, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, surrounded by her loving family.Born on September 25, 1951 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Lawrence Morrison and the late Margaret Elizabeth (Vincent) Morrison.A resident of Attleboro since 2003, she previously lived in Plainville and North Attleboro, MA. She attended hairdressing school at Mansfield Beauty Academy in Boston, and with her family was for many years the proud and caring owner and operator of The Original Chimney Sweep, Inc. in North Attleboro.Betty was a member of Waters Church in North Attleboro. She was a woman of many interests and passions. A skilled artist, she was a member of the TseTse Art Gallery and the Attleboro Art Museum. She enjoyed golf, music, dancing, singing, playing cards, and spending time at the beach. Betty truly loved being with her family.She is survived by her beloved children: Kimberly Arseneau DeVito and her husband, David E. DeVito, of North Attleboro, MA; Margaret E. (Arseneau) Morehouse and her husband, Joseph P. Morehouse, Jr., of North Attleboro, MA; and Lynn M. (Arseneau) Withrow and her husband, Jason J. Withrow, of Cumberland, RI. She was the treasured Nana of Nicholas, Alexander, Elizabeth, Dennis, Oliver and Madeleine. Betty was the sister of Lawrence Morrison of NH, and his late wife, Barbara; Charles Morrison and his wife, Joy, of MO; Vincent Morrison and his wife, Pam, of NH; Richard Morrison and his wife, Linda, of GA; George Morrison of Foxboro, MA; Gordon Morrison of Royalston MA; and twins, Paul Morrison and his wife, Patricia, of Cumberland, RI, and Patricia Simmons and her husband, David, of Greenfield, NH. She was the sister of the late Margaret Dexter and her late husband Robert Dexter, and leaves numerous nieces and nephews.Betty was the former wife of the late Dennis E. Arseneau. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Children's room is available during visitation and the funeral service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
