Eleanor M. (Helmholtz) Diamond, 93 Retired Bookkeeper Eleanor M. (Helmholtz) Diamond, 93, of Elm Terrace, North Attleboro, a Brookline native and longtime resident of Brookline, died on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Golden Living Center - Garden Place, Attleboro where she had been a resident for the past four days. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 12, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Harry A. and Ella M. (Cushing) Helmholtz. Raised and educated in Brookline, Mrs. Diamond was a graduate of Brookline High School and resided in the community her entire life until moving to North Attleboro 18 years ago. Mrs. Diamond was employed as a bookkeeper for Minahan Egg in Brookline for 25 years prior to her retirement. Since residing in North Attleboro, she was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Attleboro Falls neighborhood. Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo and trying her luck at the slot machines; however, her truest love was when she spent time with her cherished family creating lifelong memories. She leaves two children: Patricia A. Connolly of North Attleboro and Richard G. Diamond of Yarmouth; six grandchildren and several extended family members and dear friends. She was the sister of the late George Monte. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
