Eileen Patricia (Burrill) Cronin, 79, of Norwood, formerly of Sugarloaf, ME and Randolph, MA, died on Friday, October 28, 2016 at her Ellis home of residency in Norwood, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late James G. Cronin for forty-six years. Eileen and James were married on June 27, 1959.She was born in Boston, MA on March 15, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Fredrick Burrill and the late Margret (Collins) Burrill.She attended parochial schools in Boston, including Mission Hill High School, and earned her Bachelor of Education Degree at Boston State College.Mrs. Cronin was employed as a sixth grade English Teacher for the Randolph school administration for twenty-eight years prior to her retirement in 1985.She resided and raised her children in Randolph, MA with her husband, James, before moving to Sugarloaf, ME in 1985, where they stayed for fifteen years before their final residence in Norwood, MA.Her favorite pastimes were reading, skiing, and spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her three sons: Paul J. Cronin of North Attleboro, MA; James G. Cronin, III of Newton, MA; and Brian E. Cronin of Dorchester, MA; two grandchildren: Mattison Cronin of Norwood, MA, and Corey Dutil of Springfield, MA; a sister: Carol (Burrill) Lewis and her husband, Ronald Lewis, of Foxboro, MA; a brother: Fredrick Burrill and his wife, Helen Burrill, of Westwood, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Funeral services and burial will be privately held.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an online guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
