Edythe Mae St. Pierre

Edythe Mae (Whitcomb) St. Pierre, 84, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Life Care Center of Attleboro in Attleboro, MA. She was the high school sweetheart and beloved wife of the late Allen Leo St. Pierre, who passed away on December 17, 2014.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, where she was born on April 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lillian M. (Davis) Whitcomb.Edythe was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1952, and received her Nursing degree from Sturdy Memorial School of Nursing in 1955. She worked for eighteen years as a Registered Nurse at Ridgewood Court Nursing Home and at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, before retiring in 1991.The focus of Edythe's life was her treasured family, and she especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bowler who also enjoyed gardening.Edythe was the loving mother of Cynthia St. Pierre of Providence, RI; Richard St. Pierre of Colorado Springs, CO; Gary St. Pierre of Attleboro, MA; Donald St. Pierre of Ashton, MD; and Jeffrey St. Pierre of Attleboro, MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of eight grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. Edythe was the dear sister of Mildred Anderson and Hazel Holander, both of Attleboro, MA; and of the late Carole Burns. She leaves many nieces and nephews, her extended family, and many dear friends.A private Time of Family Remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
