Edward "Ed" Robert Hammond Jr., 80, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
He was born on June 14, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY.
A resident of the Attleboro area for many years, he proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. He was actively involved with the Salvation Army in Attleboro.
Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Edward by gathering for a Funeral Service with Military Honors on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA with Pastor Major Gregory Norman of The Salvation Army, Attleboro, officiating.
Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Edward to The Salvation Army, 5 Mechanic Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
