Edward Charles Lamoureux Jr.

Edward Charles Lamoureux Jr., 78, of Norton, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the VA Boston Healthcare System - Brockton in Brockton, MA, following a period of declining health.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 19, 1941, he was a son of the late Edward C. Lamoureux Sr. and Margaret (Lavoie) Lamoureux. He was raised and educated in Attleboro and had currently been a resident of Norton.
He proudly served in the United States Navy from his enlistment on May 8, 1960 and serving until his honorable discharge on May 7, 1968 after having served in Vietnam.
Mr. Lamoureux was the owner-operator of the former Kidstown, Inc. in downtown Attleboro for decades prior to his retirement.
He attended Waters Church in North Attleboro.
He leaves three children: Jacob C. Lamoureux of Seekonk, MA; Caleb J. Lamoureux of Easton, MA; and Christine Haggerty of Melbourne, Florida; his siblings: Ann Chase of Attleboro; MA; Richard Lamoureux of Seekonk, MA; and Margaret Lawson; three grandchildren: Mayzee and Pierce Lamoureux and Caitlin Haggerty; his former wife: Deborah (Marcotte) Lamoureux, and many extended family members and friends.  He was the father of the late Zebulon Lamoureux and the late Edward Charles Lamoureux III.
All public services for Mr. Lamoureux have been respectfully omitted at the request of his family.  Private burial will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
