Edward Bartlett Horne, a beloved brother and cherished member of the North Attleboro community, passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital on September 12, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on September 24, 1958, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Paul and Kathryn (Suitch) Horne. Edward's journey through life was marked by resilience as he faced and overcame numerous medical and neurological challenges with remarkable strength and courage.

Despite Edward's intellectual disabilities, he possessed a keen ability to learn quickly by observing and listening. His sweet disposition and warm-hearted nature endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Edward had an innate ability to connect with people, greeting them with a firm handshake, a gesture he lovingly inherited from his father.

Throughout his younger years, Edward found joy in swimming and motorboat rides and developed a particular fondness for ferry rides to Newport and Block Island. Music held a special place in his heart, and he was amazing at memorizing lyrics, often singing when he was happy. His love of bowling was evident, as he frequently knocked down strikes with admirable talent, a trait he shared with his father.

Edward is survived by his devoted sister, Beverly Horne, and many cousins across the United States. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Libby Horne.

Though we mourn his passing, we will carry forward his legacy of kindness and the simple joys he found in life. Edward will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
