Edward "Ed" Gronostalski, Jr., 68, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Attleboro Health Center in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Carol L. (Hughes) Gronostalski. Born on February 16, 1949 in Northampton, MA, he was the son of the late Edward Gronostalski, Sr. and the late Mary V. (Machaiek) Gronostalski.A graduate of Hopkins Academy in Hadley, MA, Class of 1966, he then attended American International College. Ed worked as a Sales Manager for Valley Motors in Ware, MA, and for Sears, Cool Ray, Norwich-Eaton, Wyeth, and Compass Sales. He was the proud Owner of Captain's Quarter's in Sylvan Beach, NY, and Eddie's Cruisers in Hadley, MA.A resident of North Attleboro for the past forty-one years, he was a member of St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls. Ed was a member of the Hadley Men's Club and, with his love of classic automobiles, a member of the Shelby American Automobile Club, having owned Shelbys, Mustangs, Tigers, and T-Birds throughout his life. Ed enjoyed acting, and was an extra in several movies; politics; and animals of most every kind, with a special place in his heart for his cat, "Tiki". He enjoyed spending winters in Sebastian, FL, and summers on Lake Oneida in Oneida, NY boating on the "Sweet Onion". More than anything, Ed cherished spending time with his family.In addition to his wife, Carol, he leaves his loving children: Sheri Gillis and her husband, Scot J. Gillis, of Newton, NH; James Edward Gronostalski and his wife, Crystal F. (Bortmes) Gronostalski, of Gainesville, FL; and Edward "Ted" J. Gronostalski of North Attleboro, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Shayla R. Gillis, John E. Gillis, and Emma L. Gillis, and was looking forward to the birth of another grandson. Ed was the dear brother of Mary Ann Marko and her husband, David Marko, of Clinton, NY; Dr. Jane Zapka and her husband, David Zapka, of Hatfield, MA; Rosalie Gronostalski and her husband, Richard Delsie, of Hooksett, NH; and Rev. Kathryn Jeffrey of Carbondale, IL. He leaves many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.A Celebration of Life Service will be privately held. Burial services will be privately held in St. Valentine's Cemetery, Hatfield, MA.
