Edward A. Bechard, 71, of Nelson Lane, Rehoboth, passed peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane Lynn (Fuller) Bechard to whom he was married on November 18, 1967 and who died on February 2, 2013. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on May 30, 1944, he was a son of the late Peter Edward and Margaret (Siddall) Bechard. He resided in Rehoboth for almost 50 years. He was a graduate of William E. Tolman High School in Pawtucket and studied at Rhode Island school of Design. Mr. Bechard was employed by L. G. Balfour Company in Attleboro as a supervisor and was affectionately known as "Tiny" for more than 30 years. He had also been employed at Masters of Design in North Attleboro and at Vantel Pearls in Mansfield. Mr. Bechard was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Attleboro and the L. G. Gold Dusters Club. He enjoyed movies, bluegrass music and collecting all kinds of gadgets he saw advertised on television. Avid New England sports fan. He enjoyed tinkering with jewelry repair when he could. In earlier years, he enjoyed skiing and more recent trips to Florida. He also enjoyed hanging at friend's car garages in his younger days. He leaves his devoted daughter: Carrie Lynn Bechard of Rehoboth; a sister: Carol Frances Courtois of Attleboro; several nieces, nephews; Diane's family members and many friends Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
