Edna C. Saulnier

Edna C. (Robinson) Benaski Saulnier, 86, of Washington Street, Norwood; formerly of North Drive, North Attleboro; died on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Norwood. She was the wife of the late Albert Saulnier of North Attleboro who died on April 21, 2007. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on April 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Alfred F. and Alberta (Beaulieu) Robinson. She resided in Attleboro and North Attleboro her entire life until moving to Norwood six years ago. She was a graduate of Attleboro High School. Mrs. Saulnier worked for many years as a teacher's assistant at Finberg School in Attleboro before going to work at Swank, Inc. in Attleboro from July 1976 until she retired May of 1990. Following her retirement, Mrs. Saulnier enjoyed volunteering at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. Mrs. Saulnier is survived by her children: Stephen Benaski of Jacksonville, Florida; Daniel Benaski of Rehoboth; Richard Benaski of Attleboro and Janet Benaski of Austin, Texas; two sisters: Rita Garland of Port Orange, Florida and Loretta Laferriere of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Brochu, Mildred Robinson, and Lillian Robinson. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Visitation has been respectfully omitted and the family will greet guests at the collation to immediately follow services at a location to be announced. It was Edna's wish that her body should be given to Tuffs University for medical research. In death, as in life, she was always giving of herself. Burial will be in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Saulnier's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association by accessing www.alz.org .
