Douglas Michael Hines, 75, of South Easton, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA. He was the beloved husband of Maureen Ann (Moore) Mahoney-Hines.Born on June 13, 1940 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Alexander R. Hines and Helen R. (Gillis) Hines.A man of diverse interests and a unique sense of humor, he found his greatest joy in his family and friends. Douglas was a member of the Ames Rifle and Pistol Gun club of Easton and the National Rifle Association. He loved exploring yard sales and attending antique auctions. Douglas enjoyed time spent with his cat, Dorian Gray. He was a friend of Bill W.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four cherished children: Sean C. Mahoney and his wife, Mici, of Attleboro, MA; Michael D. Mahoney of Norwood, MA; Colleen V. (Mahoney) Monjure and her husband, Michael, of Hoschton, GA; and Scott T. Mahoney and his wife, Kate, of Hooksett, MA. He was the treasured grandfather of Nicholas Monjure; Jillian Monjure; and Thomas Mahoney; and the brother of Mary (Hines) Stewart of Plainville, MA and Dorothy Hines of Boston, MA.
