Douglas "John" D. Moreau

Douglas "John" Dennis Moreau, Sr., 78, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away at the home of his daughter, Carla M. Kell, on January 12, 2021.
Born in Walpole, MA on February 14, 1942, he was a son of the late Clarence O. Moreau and the late Rita Laura (Proulx) Moreau.  He was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School.  He was a resident of Texas prior to moving to Pawtucket, RI almost three years ago.
In earlier years he was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Wrentham.
He was a "backyard mechanic" and enjoyed fresh and saltwater fishing and was an ardent fan of the New England Patriots.
He was the former spouse of Judith E. (Strang) Shevory of Attleboro, MA.  He was the father of Douglas D. Moreau, Jr. and his wife, Laura, in Georgia; Carla M. Kell and her husband, Brian, of Pawtucket, R.I.; Laura Jo Amaral and her husband, Arthur, of Taunton, MA and the late Vicki Moreau.  He was the stepfather of Carl J. McGee of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He leaves 10 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren.  "John" was the uncle of Crystal Oliveira of Lakeville, MA. He was the brother of the late Edgar, Clarence, and Robert Moreau.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Graveside Service on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Cemetery, Walpole, adhering to all applicable health guidelines and precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks.
