Dorothy Mildred (Sexton) Ulmer, 91, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Garden Place HealthCare in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Joseph Ulmer Jr., whom she married on October 12, 1957 and who died on May 4, 2013.
Born on June 30, 1928 in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late William Sexton Sr. and the late Edith (Lee) Sexton.
A resident of Attleboro for the past forty years, where she was a longtime member of Murray Unitarian Universalist Church, she previously lived in Norton, MA.
Dorothy worked for many years for the Darlington Fabrics Company in Pawtucket and as a private Housekeeper, before retiring.
She loved the outdoors, especially gardening and tending to her flower garden. Dorothy enjoyed poetry and was active with the Rebekahs in Attleboro Falls. She was a genuine housework fanatic, and cherished spending time with her family.
Dorothy was the loving mother of Lorna Lee Ulmer of Attleboro, MA, and the sister of the late William Sexton Jr. She leaves several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend a Graveside Service for Dorothy on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in North Purchase Cemetery, 825 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA, at which time she will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to Murray Unitarian Universalist Church, 505 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
