Dorothy Mae Parmentier

Dorothy Mae (Burgess) Parmentier, 85, of Franklin Street, Lincoln, died on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Facility in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Omer L. Parmentier, Sr. who died on August 4, 2007. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on July 5, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William B. Burgess, Sr. and Martha (Burgess) Burgess. She was resident of Lincoln for more than 30 years having previously resided in Pawtucket. Mrs. Parmentier was an assembler at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1989. She was a member and former president of the Lincoln Manor Tenant's Association. For many years she was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. Mrs. Parmentier attended the Smithfield Avenue Congregational Church. She leaves two sons: Omer Parmentier, Jr. of Rehoboth and Arthur Parmentier of Providence; 7 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the sister of the late William B. Parmentier, Jr. and Robert W. Burgess. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Funeral services and burial will be private. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
