Dorothy Frances Mimi (White) Harrison, 85, of Donald Tennant Circle, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after having been stricken ill at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Harrison, Sr. to whom she was married on June 27, 1953 and entered eternal rest on February 27, 1995. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on June 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Louis A. and Elizabeth (Pfeiffer) White. Raised and educated in Norwood, Mrs. Harrison was a 1944 graduate of Norwood High School. She later earned her Nursery School teacher certification. She resided in North Attleboro since 2000 and was previously a resident of Falmouth for twelve years and Foxboro where she and her husband raised their family. Mrs. Harrison was a nursery and kindergarten school teacher at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Foxboro for 14 years. While residing in Foxboro, she was attended St. Mark Episcopal Church and since moving to North Attleboro she was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls. Her favorite pastimes included the time spent gardening, quilting, sewing, showing affection to animals and bird watching. Mrs. Harrison enjoyed the times spent at the Plainville Council on Aging, with members of the P.E.A.L. Club and as a member of the Live Yers at the Hockomock Area Y.M.C.A. in North Attleboro. As a talented painter, she enjoyed expressing her art through watercolors, acrylics and oils. She leaves three children: Laurie Beth Lynch and her husband, John F. Lynch, with whom she resided in North Attleboro; William H. Harrison, Jr. and his wife, Lisa M. Connelly, of Chatham, New York and Lynne C. Harrison and her partner, Carole-Anne Penza, of Madison, New Hampshire; two cherished grandchildren: Diana M. Lynch and Andrea L. Lynch both of North Attleboro and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. She was the sister of the late Louis A. White. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2:00 6:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Childrens room available during visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized prior to the funeral Mass. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 8:45 AM from the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls with the Rev. Thomas Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
