Dorothy Venila (Bowman) Christie Patterson, 84, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late General George K. Patterson.Born on March 25, 1932 in South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Bowman and the late Anna (Kosbau) Bowman. Mrs. Patterson resided in North Attleboro for the past six years, having previously lived in New York. She had worked for many years as a self-employed Interior Designer as the owner of Interiors by Christie in Sudbury, MA. She attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro, MA.She is survived by her children: Baruch Herman of Israel; Nancy C. Johansen of North Attleboro, MA; and B. Douglas Weissman of New Hampshire. Mrs. Patterson leaves eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Wesley Bowman, Frances Bowman, Robert Bowman, and Helen Bowman.Private memorial services were held by her family.
