Doris Linnea (Carlson) Weeman, 84, of Attleboro, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA surrounded by her cherished family. She was the loving and beloved wife of Carlton E. Weeman, to whom she was married for more than sixty-six years. Born on October 7, 1932 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Olof Carlson and the late Selma (Svendsen) Carlson.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Doris was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1950. She worked in Attleboro for the former London's Department Store, and then for more than twenty-five years as a Manager at the Robbins Company until her retirement.Doris delighted in spending summers on the Cape at Grindell's Ocean View Park in Dennis Port, and winters at Redington Shore in Florida. She treasured being with her family, and her greatest joy was cooking for them on Sunday afternoons. Doris was a member of team Bri Relay for Life and enthusiastically walked the survivor lap each year. Doris was truly everyone's angel, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A genuinely kind, loving and giving person, her legacy will be well-served by extending and paying forward an act of kindness in her memory.In addition to her husband, Carlton, she is survived by her children: Karen L. (Weeman) Martens and her husband, James J. Martens, of Taunton, MA; Deborah E. (Weeman) Emond and her husband, Dennis R. Emond, of Taunton, MA; and David C. Weeman and his wife, Janet M. (Geisel) Weeman, of Attleboro, MA. She leaves eight adoring grandchildren: Marc Robichaud, Deidre Braga, Jason Emond, Kyle Emond, Nicholas Emond, Christopher Weeman, Ryan Weeman, and Alysha Weeman; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Roy Carlson of Sun City, FL and the late Arthur Carlson. Doris leaves several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service immediately following Visitation on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
