Doris Theresa Paul

Doris Theresa Paul, 88, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.Born on May 6, 1928 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Albert Paul and the late Mary Rose (Desorcy) Paul.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Doris was employed for forty years as a textile worker for Dodgeville Mill in Attleboro. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church in Attleboro.Doris was an avid sewer who enjoyed making her own clothes. She loved all animals, and in her youth Doris was a strong long distance swimmer and continued a love of the water her whole life. She also enjoyed bowling, and had been a member of the Dodgeville Mill bowling team.She is survived by her cousin, Nancy Watters of Attleboro, MA, Donna Boutin of South Carolina and Diane Parker of North Carolina as well as several nieces and nephews. Doris was the sister of the late Opal (Paul) Lascoste.Private Graveside Services will be held in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA, at which time Doris will be laid to rest alongside her beloved parents.In lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Doris to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
