Doris "Dot" Dubuc (Desrochers) 91, of Attleboro, MA., passed away on January 30, 2024 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Central Falls, RI on December 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Jeannette (Fontaine) Desrochers. She was predeceased by her siblings Roland Desrochers, Loretta Thomas and Albert "Babe" Desrochers.
An Attleboro resident since her marriage to the late Charles R. Dubuc Sr., she resided at Christopher Heights in Attleboro for the last eight years. Besides attending weekly Mass, Dot enjoyed playing Bingo, Scattergories, bowling, attending entertainment and of course weekly Poker Night. She was loved by all her friends at Christopher Heights and will be greatly missed.
In her younger years, Dot met lifelong friends while employed at Fernandes, enjoyed owning her own store The Knit Wit, travelling the country to visit her children and volunteering at the library.
Dot leaves her children, Rob Dubuc and his wife Sandi of Manzanita, Oregon, Lynn Henderson and her husband Ron of Eagle River, Alaska, Chris Dubuc-Pierce and her husband Dan of Warwick and Sue Rodgers and her husband Joe of Alexandria, Louisiana. Dot loved her extended family including 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephewsand sisters-in-law.
The family would like to thank Christopher Heights for their amazing care and friendship and also Sturdy Memorial Hospital Balfour Unit for their compassionate care. Friends Ellen, Judyand Beth for giving so generously of their time.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 St. John's Place, Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private.
