Doris Claire (Normand) LaRose, 93, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Charles LaRose who died on October 19, 2016.Born on July 11, 1924 in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. Normand and the late Marie A. (Drolet) Normand.Doris was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1943. Prior to living at Madonna Manor, she had been a resident of Plainville since 1980.A woman of faith and devotion, she was a member of St. Mary's Church in Foxboro for many years. Doris relished her role as a mother and homemaker for her family. She loved baking and was an avid reader who especially enjoyed reading newspapers and magazines. Doris had a special appreciation for art and loved flowers. More than anything, though, she cherished spending time with her beloved family and many friends.She was the loving mother of Carol Anne Megna and her husband, Anthony A. Megna, of North Attleboro, MA; William "Bill" R. LaRose and his wife, Maria F. LaRose, of Woonsocket, RI; Cathleen M. LaRose of Sunapee, NH; and Stephen C. LaRose and his wife, Roxane I. LaRose, of North Attleboro, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Vanessa, Melissa, Nathan, Stephen, and Charles, and the proud great-grandmother of Gianna, Hero, Lyla, and Aubrey. Doris was predeceased by her siblings: Eva Ferland, Anita LeBlanc, George Normand, and Alice Morgan. She leaves several nieces and nephews and dear friends.A Private Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, at which time Doris will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband, Raymond. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Spring at a date and time to be announced.
