Donovan James Lindo

Donovan James Lindo, 16, of North Washington Street, North Attleboro, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the Boston Medical Center. Donovan courageously fought an illness which also claimed the life of his sister, Mallorie Taylor Lindo, on March 20, 2013. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on October 7, 1999, he was the son of David J. Lindo, Jr. of Fall River and Jennifer Lynn Shattuck of North Attleboro. Donovan lived most of his life in North Attleboro, having previously lived in Fall River. He attended school in North Attleboro before illness prevented him from continuing his studies. Donovan's life was filled with an infectious enthusiasm and love, especially for his caring family. When he was able to, he enjoyed swimming, snow skiing, basketball, and baking. He treasured the companionship of his dog, "Sandy", and loved the color purple.  He attended Evangelical Covenant Church, Attleboro with his family. In addition to his parents, Donovan leaves his step-father, Paul E. LaPlante of North Attleboro, MA; his step-sister, Julia E. LaPlante, and step-brother, Steven P. LaPlante, both of Woonsocket, RI; his maternal grandparents: Donald Shattuck and Theresa (Havener) Shattuck of Pine Island, FL; his  paternal grandfather, David J. Lindo, Sr., and his wife, Jen (Casey) Lindo of Dartmouth, MA; his uncle, Jared Shattuck of Atlanta, GA; his aunts, cousins, and extended family. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 841 North Main Street - Route 152, Attleboro. Donovan's family has extended an invitation for friends and family to join them following the service for a collation at North Attleboro Middle School, 564 Landry Avenue, North Attleboro, MA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Donovan's memory to: www.binkeezforcomfort.org .
