Donna Mae Schumm

Donna Mae (Bicht) Schumm, 78, of Attleboro, MA passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at The Branches of North Attleboro in North Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Francis Schumm to whom she married on May 28, 1994.
Born in Pottsville, PA on August 17, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Robert Charles Bicht and the late Amanda Martha (Hartnett) Bicht. Donna was raised and educated in Pennsylvania.
For many years, Donna was a dedicated Dental Assistant, providing her patients with the best care at Dr. Peter Apt's office in Southington, CT. She settled in the Attleboro area in 1992 and became an active member of the Central Congregational Church, Attleboro Falls. Her faith was important to her, and she shared this with others by being a Sunday school teacher, member of the Women's Union and participating in the church dinners and fairs.
An avid Patriots fan, Donna was known to open her home to others so they could enjoy watching the game together. She appreciated how reviving a change of scenery could be and loved to travel to Hawaii where her and Bob owned a timeshare. The thrill and excitement of helicopter tours weren't lost on her, and she couldn't wait to fly over the active volcanoes in Hawaii. She and Bob also traveled to Arizona and treasured a tour of the Grand Canyon.
Donna's favorite pastime was crafting. She had a talent for scrapbooking. She looked forward to going to craft fairs and supporting the craftwork of others. Donna was also very proud of her Irish heritage.
She had an overall love of children whether he own children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren or someone else's she had just met.
Donna enjoyed cooking for others, whether something from one of her old Pennsylvania Dutch cookbooks or with whatever ingredients she happened to have in the house.
She loved old movies and the sound of the oldie but goodie songs and enjoyed her off Broadway musicals and plays as a season ticket holder at the Providence Performing Arts Center and other local venues for many years.
She leaves behind her husband: Robert Francis Schumm, of Attleboro, MA; her daughters: Paige Hill and her husband, William, of Meriden, CT; Robyn Rizzuto, of Meriden, CT; Kellie Schumm Kicza and her husband, Christopher, of Medford, MA; and Keri Cullen, of Norton, MA; Her grandchildren: Alysha, Bria, Ryan, John and Christian; Her great grandchildren: Jayden, Alexander and Madelyn; her brother: Robert Bicht, of Dallas, PA; and her sister: LeeAnne Schroding of Port Carbon, PA.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
