Donna M. Pontonio

Donna Mary Pontonio, 75, of Danielson, CT, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Day-Kimball Healthcare in Putnam, CT following a period of declining health.
Born in Milford, Massachusetts on April 4, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Dominic J. Pontonio and the late Dorothy M. (Johnson) Pontonio.
She was employed as a certified nurse's aide in the special care unit of the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, Rhode Island for more than 10 years until 2004.
Donna lived for many years in Milford, Massachuetts prior to moving to Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1994 and to Connecticut in 2009.
She enjoyed time spent sewing and embroidering.
Left to mourn her loss are her three daughters: Janet Cazeault in Florida; twins: Deborah Freeman and Donna Freeman both of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; six grandchildren; her siblings: Dorothy Zajac of Chepachet, Rhode Island; Deana Pontonio of Danielson, CT; Robert MacMurray in Vermont; Dominic Pontonio in Florida; David Pontonio in New Hampshire; and Dennis Pontonio of Millville, MA.  She was the aunt of several nieces and nephews.  Donna was the sister of the late Donald J. Pontonio.
At her request, all services will be conducted privately.
Burial will be private.
