Donna Elaine (Grant) DeSalvo, 58, of Attleboro Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA, after a valiant five-year long struggle with a form of Parkinson's Disease. She was the wife of John A. DeSalvo, Jr.Born on May 27, 1959 in Attleboro, she was the beloved daughter of Betty J. (Page) Grant and the late Joseph P. Grant, Jr. A lifelong resident of Attleboro Falls, she was a graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 1977, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Bryant College. Donna worked for many years as an Accountant before retiring. She attended St. Mark's Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls.Donna simply loved life. She never complained, and never asked "why me"; instead, she knew that life was short and chose to make the most of her life. She enjoyed the outdoors, particularly the summertime, camping, visits to the Cape Cod Canal, and softball. She had a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds, especially the faithful dogs and cats she had during her life. She loved to have fun, and truly loved being with her family and friends. Donna's presence will greatly be missed.In addition to her husband and her mother, she is survived by her cherished son, Joseph Roy DeSalvo of Attleboro Falls, MA. She was the loving sister of Steven J. Grant of St. Augustine, FL; Cheryl A. (Grant) LoPriore and her husband, David LoPriore, of Niantic, CT; and Lorine M. (Grant) Fulton of Marysville, OH. She leaves several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Donna by gathering for a Visitation on Friday, September 8, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will immediately follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, MA.
