Donald Albert Roak

Donald Albert Roak, 80, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Maxine Mae (Miller) Roak, to whom he was married on February 19, 1955.Born on May 17, 1937 in Auburn, ME, he was the son of the late Ralph Waldo Roak and the late Emma Louise (Francis) Roak.Donald worked for thirty-five years as a Laser Beam Welder for Senior Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA before retiring.A resident of North Attleboro for the past six years, he previously lived in Mansfield, MA for more than thirty years.Donald loved camping and the outdoors. A member of Fish & Game of Mansfield, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting, and was proud of his collection of guns. More than anything, Donald loved being with his family and good friends.In addition to his wife, Maxine, he was the loving father of Deborah L. Buck and her husband, Donald H. Buck, of Attleboro; Sheryl A. Morrisey and her husband, Paul J. Morrisey, of Attleboro; Pamela L. Henrikson of North Attleboro and her late husband, Robert Henrikson; and Peggy S. Browne of North Attleboro, and her late husband, William Browne. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of ten grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was the dear brother of Dolly Rosa Lagasse of CT, and was predeceased by his siblings: Eva Greenlaw, Florence Kuechle, Lester Roak, Hugh Roak, and Roger W. Roak. He leaves several nieces and nephews.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Donald by gathering for a Visitation on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
