Donald Elwood Mosher

Donald E. Mosher 90, of Attleboro, MA., came into this world on August 25, 1933 and entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 3, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Emily F. (McCormack) Mosher and they were happily married for nearly 60 years.
Born in Attleboro, MA., he was the son of the late Louis S. Mosher and Elsie M. (Sibley) Mosher. Donald grew up in Foxboro, MA., and was a 1951 graduate of Foxboro High School. He was a veteran of the Airforce. Later Donald moved to Attleboro, Where he worked as a production scheduler for the sisal craft paper factory later becoming Fortifiber. He was very active in the All Saints Episcopal church, Attleboro. Serving as junior warden and head usher. Donald made sure everyone entering the church was warmly welcomed. He was an ardent runner and ran the Boston Marathon five times. In 1996, he carried the Olympic Torch in Attleboro. He also enjoyed tandem bike riding for 22 years with his late friend Arthur Smith. Later in life Donald volunteered at the Attleboro senior center. He participated in Christmas is for kids, and always had a kind word for everyone especially especially for those needing extra care. He followed the golden rule.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Linda J. Mosher of Attleboro and Kathleen A. Callahan and her husband Robert of Norton as well as a brother, Herbert A. Mosher of Foxboro. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Robert G. Callahan of Norton , Erin J. Callahan of Oceano, California, John T. Callahan of Attleboro, and James M. Callahan ofNorton and dear great-grandchildren, Zoe Callahan and Cali Callahan. He was pre-deceased by brothers Bruce A. Mosher and Raymond S. Mosher, both of Foxboro. He leaves many devoted nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. A memorial service for Donald will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10am at All Saints Episcopal Church, 121 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
