Donald Douglas Dugas, 87, of Mansfield Avenue, Norton; formerly of Christopher Heights, Attleboro and Clifton Street, North Attleboro; died surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Epoch Senior Health Care in Norton. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise B. (Santoro) Dugas to whom he was married on September 13, 1949 and who died on May 15, 2000. Born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on March 22, 1927, he was a son of the late Seniah and Lillian (Cloutier) Dugas. He was raised, educated and resided for most of his life in North Attleboro prior to moving to Christopher Heights in Attleboro in 2003 and to Norton in 2006. Mr. Dugas was a proud United States Navy veteran and served during the World War II era. He was the founder, owner and operator of "Don Dugas Rug and Upholstery" in North Attleboro for more than 30 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Dugas was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls. He leaves five children: Donna M. Campbell of Pipersville, Pennsylvania; Nancy L. Ruel of Wareham; Holly A. Plumb of Mendon; Ronald J. Dugas of Pocasset and Wayne M. Dugas of Temple, New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. He was the brother of the late Margaret "Peggy" Bristol, Beatrice Astin, Jeannette Dugas, Edward Dugas, Emory Dugas, Hector Dugas and Lawrence Dugas. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to commencement of the Funeral Mass.
