Dolores M. (Balzer) Korbeck, 83, of North Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the wife of Eugene C. Korbeck to whom she was married on May 18, 1957 in New Jersey. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 30, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Shields) Balzer. Mrs. Korbeck was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School in Camden, NJ. She was employed as an office manager at Martin C. Harris and Associates for fifteen years prior to her retirement at age 62. Dolores volunteered at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, making over 1,000 teddy bears for children in the emergency room. She also taught painting classes for the North Attleboro Senior Center. She was a member of the Jocunds Club of Southern New Jersey, a continuation of a Girl Scout Troupe, for about 70 years. Her favorite pastimes included knitting, crocheting and of course, painting. Dolores most enjoyed the times spent on her home deck overlooking the lake. In addition to her husband of fifty-six years; Dolores is survived by her daughter: Christine K. Gregory and her husband, Michael P. Gregory of North Attleboro; her sister: Catherine Pieczara of South Hampton, NJ; and one granddaughter: Melissa J. Franklin. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the sister of the late William Balzer. Per request of the family, services will be private.
