Dianne Quinn, 45, of North Attleboro, was almost always smiling because she loved life. Even while dying of melanoma, she smiled at the idea of playing a joke because she loved to make others feel better. She had a lot of good friends because she was a good friend. Dianne always saw the best in others. She wasn't a great athlete, but became a great fan cheering on her beloved sons, Matthew and Joseph. The football, basketball, soccer and lacrosse fields in North Attleboro will be quieter without Dianne cheering. Dianne was born to the late Thomas "Tom" and Kathleen "Kay" (Carey) Coyne at South Shore Hospital, the fifth of six children. She graduated from Weymouth South High School and attended North Adams State College. She transferred to Bridgewater State University where she earned a degree in special education. While attending Bridgewater State University, she met her future husband, Kevin Quinn, of Easton through close friends. Dianne and Kevin were married on Sept. 21, 1996 in Plymouth. They lived in South Burlington Vermont for 10 years before moving to North Attleboro in 2007. Their sons Matthew and Joseph were born in Burlington Vermont. Joseph was the first child born in Vermont in 2005. She worked briefly as a special education teacher in Braintree before starting her family in Vermont. She had recently been employed as a special education teacher in the Medway Public School System. She loved her late dogs Ruby and Shelby as well as her current dog, Rocky. Jimmy Fallon always made her laugh and she was the only one in her family who loved musicals. Dianne was a passionate person who teared up at the National Anthem, Pop Warner football victories and Mother's Day cards, but would laugh hysterically if a friend tripped as long as they were okay. Dianne admired a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that reads: "To share often and much ... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Friends and family of Dianne will attest she was a tremendous success. Dianne is survived by her husband: Kevin and sons Matthew and Joseph all of North Attleboro, four sisters: Barbara (Tony) Gentile of Scituate; Patricia (Ron) Cook of Lisbon Falls, Maine; Laura of Quincy and Eileen of Worcester; a brother Tom (Susan) Coyne of South Bend, Ind., a brother-in-law: Sean Quinn of West Palm Beach, Florida and her in-laws: Richie and Carol Quinn of Woburn and six nieces and five nephews.
