Dessalines Parris

Our forever baby, Dessalines Boukman Parris, was born sleeping on December 27, 2025, at 4:08am. He weighed 2lbs and 4oz and 13 3/4 inches long. Son to Nina Bullock and Fillmore Parris. Baby brother to Amarah Parris, Aiden Walker and Alivia Parris. Grandson to Veronica Bullock, Derek Mitchell and Wintress Parris.

Even in utero, Dessalines was a powerhouse. He was a strong baby who loved to kick and tickle Mommy. Every morning he would wake up with Mommy and get started on his exercises right away. He loved to eat! He sure could put the whole plate away! Sometimes, two plates. Dessalines loved hearing Mommy sing and talk, talk, talk. He loved hearing Daddy say, "I love you". He loved hearing his siblings talk and play around the house. But the bond he shared with his Mom was so beautiful and never to be forgotten. Feeling him move and swoosh around in the belly was magical. He always let Mommy know he was right there with her. Until he couldn't any longer.

Dessalines, we'll never know just why God brought you to Heaven so quickly. Maybe He needed a beautiful and strong angel up there, which you are, just as the strong leaders you were named after. But, what we do know is we miss you and our love for you is immeasurable. Not a day will pass that we don't think of you.

Our forever baby angel, please watch over your parents and siblings. We love you with all of our hearts.

Relatives and friends are warmly welcome to attend services on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro, MA.
