Dennis Andrew O'Connor, 68, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Born on June 2, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles J. O'Connor and the late Mary M. (Fitzpatrick) O'Connor.A resident of South Attleboro for more than fifty years, Dennis proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army. He worked for many years as a Truck Driver. Dennis attended St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish in South Attleboro. He loved reading and motorcycles, and always seemed to have a special place in his heart for dogs.He is survived by his dear brother, David M. O'Connor and his wife, Susan L. (Pickering) O'Connor, of Pawtucket, RI, and leaves several cousins and many good friends. Dennis was the former husband of Christine (Andrews) O'Connor.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that donations be made in memory of Dennis to the Friends of the Attleboro Animal Shelter, P.O.
