Dennis Edmund Harrison, 71, of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his children on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA.
Born on September 17, 1950, in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Edmund Harrison and the late Yvette (DeBlois) Harrison.
Prior to living in Cumberland, Dennis had resided in Pawtucket for most of his life. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Providence College, and later, an MBA from Boston College. He worked for many years in commercial banking and finished his career as complex credit analyst for Hexagon Metrology, Inc. in North Kingstown, RI.
A man of faith, he was a longtime member of St. Cecilia Church in Pawtucket. Dennis was an avid golfer, photographer, and a scouter who reached the rank of Eagle Scout. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. Some of the grandchildren's fondest memories include coloring, sitting on a couch talking and laughing, visiting museums, coin-collecting, aquariums, camping, root beer floats, baseball games, soccer games, and artwork.
Dennis was the loving father of Christopher D. Harrison of Centennial, CO; Scott D. Harrison of Methuen, MA; and Kate D. Harrison and her husband, Dennis P. Walsh, of Cumberland, RI. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Hunter C. Harrison, Oceannah R. Harrison, Mackenzie M. Harrison, Sophia G. Harrison, Madison K. Walsh, and Colby R. Walsh. He was the brother of the late Michael D. Harrison, and Ronald Harrison of St. George, UT, and leaves his niece, Alexandrea Chen and her husband, Matthew Chen, of Oakton, VA. Dennis was the former husband of Diane I. (Mercure) Isabella of Greenwood Village, CO. He leaves his extended family and many dear friends.
