Dennis J. Cronin "Denny"

Dennis J. Cronin, 75, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. He was a beloved husband to Donna Cronin (McKenzie). They were happily married for 49 years.

Dennis was born on July 18, 1950, to Bill and Betty (Silva) Cronin. He was one of seven children and a lifelong resident of Attleboro, MA.

Dennis dedicated 32 years of his professional life to the City of Attleboro, retiring from the highway department as a Forman after a long and committed career. In addition to his service to the city, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972.

Outside of work, Dennis found joy in many hobbies, including fishing and quahogging on Cape Cod, gardening, and watching Boston sports. He cherished time with his grandchildren, often attending their sporting events. In his free time he could be found walking his beloved dogs, Tucker and Niko. Dennis enjoyed sharing memories with friends and neighbors, always happy to tell a story or lend a helping hand. He was known throughout Attleboro as a thoughtful and generous neighbor, often assisting elderly residents, mowing lawns, and helping with odd jobs wherever needed.

Besides his wife Donna, he is survived by his four loving children, Kelly (Dan) Messier of North Attleboro, MA, Stacey (Scott) Spaner of South Attleboro, MA, Ryan (Briana Casey) Cronin of Charlotte, NC and Michael Cronin of Victor, ID. He is also survived by his siblings, Kate (Peter Desrochers) Cronin, Tim (Joyce) Cronin, Pat (Kevin) Plociak, Bobby (Jane) Cronin, David (Caity) Cronin, and Peter (Pam) Cronin. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, McKenzie Messier, Gavin Spaner, Logan Messier, Henry Messier, and Sophia Messier, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Services were held privately under the direction of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, MA.
