Debra A. (Mack) DiGiovanni, 54, of Cedar Hill Terrace, Seekonk, died unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, October 23, 2008. She was the wife of Dr. Eugene M. DiGiovanni, M.D. ? Obstetrician and Gynecologist affiliated with Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Dr. and Mrs. DiGiovanni were married on September 11, 1982.Born in Brockton, Massachusetts on June 8, 1954, she was a daughter of Alfred Patrick and C. Muriel (Whealan) Mack both of Attleboro. She was raised and educated in Brockton where she was a 1972 graduate of Brockton High School. Mrs. DiGiovanni graduated from the medical assistant program at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical Institute in South Easton.She was employed as a medical assistant for Brown University in Providence with the University Health Services department for the past ten years. Several years ago she taught preschool in Brockton at Tinker Bell Kindergarten and many of the relationships fostered there as ?Miss Deb? continue today.Mrs. DiGiovanni resided in Seekonk for the past 21 years.An athletic and vibrant woman she was full of zest and energy and devoted most of her time to uniting family and friends for social occasions. Her love for life and those in her life was immeasurable and will never be forgotten by those lives she gently touched with compassion and care.A well-read woman, she treasured the tranquility and peacefulness of her many walks. A frequent traveler, she and her family enjoyed numerous vacations over the years including those to Hawaii, California, the Caribbean Islands, Costa Rica and throughout Europe.In addition to her husband of 26 years and her parents, she leaves five children: Kathryn R. DiGiovanni of Seekonk; Kristopher M. DiGiovanni of Seekonk; Dr. Brian Foster DiGiovanni of Littleton; Karen D. Corrado of Attleboro and Alyssa Beth Pestilli of Forestdale; six, soon to be seven, grandchildren; a sister: Rosemary Foster of Easton; four brothers: Edward P. Mack of Easton; Dennis M. Mack of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Brian A. Mack of Brockton and David J. Mack of Simi Valley, California; her mother-in-law: Theresa C. (Mancuso) DiGiovanni of Attleboro and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Angelo E. DiGiovanni.
