Deborah A. Carr

Deborah A. Carr, 62, of Rudon Drive, North Attleboro, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 15, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Russell Edward and M. Barbara (Bechard) Carr. She was raised and educated in North Attleboro where she was a 1969 graduate of North Attleboro High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. Ms. Carr was employed as a business office director and later as a regional specialist for Emeritus Corporation in Framingham for five years. Previously, Ms. Carr was employed as a sales representative for Leach & Garner in Attleboro for ten years. She resided in North Attleboro her entire life with the exception of 8 years when she resided in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Ms. Carr was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro Falls. She was a longtime member of the Hockomock Area YMCA in North Attleboro and was an active member of the North Attleboro Reunion Committee. Times spent at the beach, particularly Harding's Beach in Chatham, and reading were most enjoyable. She leaves a sister: Barbara A. Harrison and her husband, Kevin M. Harrison, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; a brother: James E. Carr and his wife, Jane E. (Withers) Carr, of North Attleboro; three nieces: Heather E. Wahl of Toronto, Canada and Natalie J. Carr and Caroline M. Carr both of North Attleboro and extended family members and many dear friends. She was the sister of the late John Russell Carr and was the aunt of the late Abigail Harrison. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will be private. Children's room is available during visitation and the funeral service. Please omit flowers.
