Deborah "Debbie" Ann (Tosches) Hamel, 56, of Horseshoe Drive, Plainville, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Born on October 6, 1959 in Worcester, Debbie was the daughter of Richard Tosches of Spring Hill, FL and the late Louise (Cockell) Tosches. A longtime resident of Plainville, Debbie previously resided in Maynard, MA. She was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1978, where she participated in the Franklin Rangerette and St. Joseph Marching Bands. Debbie also graduated with an Associate degree in paralegal studies from Dean College. She was a woman known to love helping people, and truly enjoyed everything having to do with the law. There was no doubt that Debbie lived for her children, loved her family, and adored her sweet Russian Bolonka dog, "Ollie".In addition to her father, she is survived by her beloved children: Erika L. Hamel of Hawthorne, CA, and Scott J. Hamel of Plainville, MA; her twin sister: Robin (Tosches) Miller and her husband, Craig Miller, of Bellingham, MA; and was also the sister of Tammy (Tosches) Crawley of Plainville, MA; Richard Tosches of Plainville, MA; Tinalouise (Tosches) Cisternelli and her husband, Paul Cisternelli, of Walpole, MA; and Suzanne (Tosches) MacDonald and her former spouse, David MacDonald, of Walpole, MA. She was the former wife of John Raymond Hamel of Lincoln, MA. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Children's room is available during visitation.
