Deanne L. Mcneil

Deanne L. (Lohrman) McNeil, 77, of Fort Meyers, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Hope Hospice of Fort Meyers. She was the beloved wife of William Lawrence "Larry" McNeil II, to whom she was married on July 28, 1962.Born on April 17, 1940 in Morristown, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Alexander Lohrman and the late Dorinda Rosalie (Iorio) Lohrman.A graduate of Scotch Pines High School (NJ), Class of 1958, she received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Washington, Class of 1962. Deanne enjoyed working as a Spanish Teacher at King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, MA, for twenty-two years before retiring in 1995. A resident of Fort Meyers since 2002, she lived on Winter Harbor on Lake Winnipesauke in Tuftonboro, NH from 2000 until 2002. Deanne previously resided in North Attleboro, MA for many years, and had been an active member of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro Falls.A vibrant, outgoing, and caring woman, she truly loved teaching. She enjoyed travel, having visited Spain in 1978, and spending time near the water, both by the ocean and lakeside, especially at Lake Winnipesauke, NH. More than anything, Deanne loved being with her family and in the company of her cherished grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Larry, she leaves her loving children: Scott L. McNeil and his wife, Maryann H. (Holloran) McNeil, of Gilford, NH; and Kathleen "Kathy" M. Pray and her husband, Kevin L. Pray, of Rehoboth, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Matthew L. Pray, Timothy R. Pray, Ian L. McNeil, and Margaret "Maggie" R. McNeil. Deanne was the dear sister of Marie Propp of Fountain Hills, AZ. She leaves her niece, Amy McDonnel, and her nephew, Carl Propp, both of Arizona, and many dear friends.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Deanne by gathering for a Visitation on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
