Dawn Marie Bennett

Dawn Marie Bennett, 47, of North Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her home. Born on December 16, 1968 in Norwood, MA, she was the beloved daughter of Carol Jean (Landry) Bennett of North Attleboro, MA, and the late Francis Bennett, Sr.A lifelong resident of North Attleboro, Dawn was a graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 1987. She was employed for more than thirty years as a Certified Nursing Aide at Serenity Hill Nursing Home in Wrentham, MA, and also for private care.Dawn was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro, MA. She was a caring, gentle, and hard-working woman who deeply loved her son, Nathan, and spending time with him, whether simply watching television together, or following family traditions of Tuesday dinners together and eating Chinese food on Christmas night watching "It's a Wonderful Life". A writer of beautiful poetry and a good cook, she enjoyed being with her family, day trips with family and friends, especially to Scusset Beach with her sisters, trips to North Conway and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and walking, particularly through the tranquility of Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum.In addition to her mother and son, Nathan Francis Davignon, of North Attleboro, MA, she is survived by her loving siblings: Carol J. Bennett; Fredrick M. Bennett; Erin E. Bennett; and Cynthia J. Wise, all of North Attleboro, MA; Lisa A. Degnim of South Boston and North Attleboro, MA; Tina M. Jenne of Seekonk, MA; Mark Bennett; Cheryl Phipps; Catherine Langille; and Scott Bennett, all of North Attleboro, MA. She leaves her former spouse and friend, Keith W. Davignon, of North Attleboro, MA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was the sister of the late Francis Bennett, Jr.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Children's room is available during visitation.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
