David "Skins" Russell Moore

David "Skins" Russell Moore, 63, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born on June 3, 1957 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of Florence C. (Caskey) Moore of Lakeland, FL, and the late Russell H. Moore.
A lifelong resident of Attleboro, he was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School, Class of 1975.  David had worked for more than twenty years as a laser engineer for Automated Finishing Inc. in Attleboro at the time of his death.
David was a true nature lover who enjoyed gardening, astronomy and reggae music.  He loved animals of every kind and had a special place in his heart for cats, of which he had many and who were his pride and joy.  More than anything, he loved spending time with his beloved family and many good friends.
In addition to his mother, David leaves his cherished children:  Julia A. Westgate and her husband, Kevin Westgate, of Taunton, MA; Eric D.R. Moore and his wife, Sophanit K. Moore, of Attleboro, MA; Amanda L. Moore and her companion, Jon M. Horrigan, of Rehoboth, MA; Ashley M. Woodward and her husband, William A. Woodward, of Pawtucket, RI; and Sarah Jane Moore of Whitinsville, MA. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of twelve grandchildren. David was the dear brother of Caren L. Van Pelt and her husband, Scott Van Pelt, of Little River, SC; and Michael R. Moore of North Attleboro, MA.  He leaves his niece, Lindsay Van Pelt of Chicago, IL, and many dear friends. He was the former husband of Cindy Nason.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and  the use of face masks, friends and family are cordially invited to honor David by attending a Memorial Visitation in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service and Remembrance at 4:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Burial will be private.
