Dr. David Kingsnorth Patterson, Jr., PhD., 73, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on January 23, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA.
Born in Evansville, Indiana on February 16, 1948, he was a son of Marie Ann B. (Bloomer) Patterson of Sarasota, Florida and the late David K. Patterson, Sr.
Dr. Patterson was a member of the Binghamton (N.Y.) High School - Class of 1967, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology from Case Western Reserve University, his master's degree in anthropology from Eastern New Mexico State University and his PhD in anthropology and paleontology from the University of Toronto.
For the past 15 years he was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an IT Analyst in the Office of Technology Services.
A resident of North Attleboro since 2016, he previously resided in Quincy, MA and Ipswich, MA.
His favorite pastimes included photography, genealogy, spending time with his beloved cats and anything IT.
In addition to his mother, he leaves a brother: Don D. Patterson of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; two sisters: Susan D. Patterson Smith of Cary, North Carolina, and Dr. Julie Ann Patterson Fago of Bethel, Vermont and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dr. Patterson's name may be made to the No Kitty Left Behind, 175 Harmon Avenue, Cranston, RI  02910.
