David R. Morin, 79, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully after an age-related illness on Friday, October 4, 2019.
He was born on April 22, 1940.
David was a Federal Government employee for over thirty-one years, having worked for various agencies, including the United States Postal Service, before he decided to take "early retirement" in 1995. After a bit of travel, David chose to make North Attleboro his home.
David was a graduate of Foxborough High School and studied journalism at Northeastern University while employed at Plympton Press in Norwood, MA during the mid-1960's. Prior to that, he attended the Army Finance School and the Army School of Personnel Management at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. David proudly and honorably served our country for the next twenty-seven months in France in the 97th Engineer Battalion (Construction).
In retirement David pursued his interest in sports and wrote occasional articles for Inside Sports.com. He was also quite active in the stock market, and along with some day-trading he offered some market consulting.
In the company of friends, associates, and family, David often displayed his wit, his vast updated knowledge of pop culture, sports, politics, and history trivia.
He leaves his daughter, Dianne E. Morin of Pennsylvania; his sister, Olivia Gazis and her family and his niece, Mari L. Conliffe, all of Palm Desert, California.
All services for David will be privately held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of David to Saint Charles Children's Home, 19 Grant Street, Rochester, NH 03867.
