David A. Gendreau

December 16, 1981 — July 13, 2023

David A. Gendreau, 41, passed away on Thursday, July 13th, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.He was a son of Debbie (Leedham) and Bobby Gendreau of Seekonk, MA, who were his caregivers and by his side constantly.  He was also the uncle of Jaylee Gendreau, who he helped raise, and who was by his side throughout his life and of Shea-Lynn Messier who helped care for him in his last months.
David was a loving family man and was always willing to lend a hand to others, no matter the circumstances.  Over the course of the last 27 months, he fought a strong battle with stage 4 glioblastoma (brain cancer).  David touched the lives of everyone he met, through his humor, his selflessness, and his genuine heart.
Besides his loving parents, David leaves behind his grandmother, Pauline Leedham; his two other nieces: Callie Messier and July Mooney; his two nephews: Colyn Labossiere and Matthew DaGraca; his niece-in-law: Sarah Almuhtaseb; his great niece: Cecylia; his cousin, Ruthie who was by his side to care for him, sing to him, and read to him; his many childhood friends and his four-legged son, Baxter.
David was also the uncle of the late Michael Robert Sousa and Savannah DeGraca, the brother of the late Kristin Lee Gendreau and the late Kerri Lynn DaGraca and grandson of the late Edward F. Leedham, Norma Gendreau and Robert E. Gendreau.
All services will be conducted privately.
